Third Quarter Goals Reflection

My goals for the third quarter are to get above a 3.00 and to also have better behavior and listen more. The work that I have done to achieve those goals is that I have been working hard since the quarter started and I also have been behaving and listening. The thing that I need to do better is to do my homework every night and finish my class work in class. At the end of the third quarter I will expect to feel good at the end of the third quarter because I have done almost all of my wok this quarter.

If I was beaten badly and saw a cave I would…….. First I would go gets some firewood and start a fire with a flint. Then I would go hunting and find some food and I would recover from my wounds and gather enough strength and get my revenge by robbing a gun store because I don’t have any money and get all the guns I could carry and then go find the people who beat me up and get my revenge on all of them and then I would and then I would go because people thought that I was dead

A time when I and my team were an underdog was when we were in the championship game against a team called the Murrieta Thunder Hawks. They were the only team to beat us that year so we were 10 -1 the score was 20-6 when they beat us. But when they beat us I wasn’t there because I had a cast because I broke my pinky really bad. So in the championship they were our opponent. So on the first drive of the game I had an interception from the end zone all the way to the 50 yard line and then we scored on that drive. I also had a punt return for like 70 yards but it got called back because one of my team mates roughed the kicker so they called it back and I was extremely angry. So the final score of the game was 14-6 us of course because I was there!

Like the narrator in “The grandfather” by Gary Soto, I consider some of the kids that I hang out with to be my family. These people are my family because we are just like brothers we hang out all the time and when I need help with some thing they always help me and are helpful. They give me strength by being supportive. An example of a time when I depended on them was that I needed some help with Mr. Priester’s homework because I did not know how to do it and they went over it with me. A tree symbolizes family because just like a tree there are many branches like people in a family

The most symbolic item in the “Grandfather” by Gary Soto is the avocado tree. The avocado tree represents the grandfather. The grandfather work so hard to plant and care for the avocado tree. After the grandfather dies the narrator takes over the tree and as the narrator grows so does the tree. Also the tree represents the family. Each tree branch represents one person of the family. The tree grew so much that the narrator said that each family member on each others shoulders wouldn’t even be as big as the avocado tree.

I would say that my mom is similar to a sour patch kid. I think that my mom symbolizes a sour patch kid because like a sour patch kid she can be sour at first and then sweet. But when she is sweet it is the best mom ever. But when she is sour she is really mean but I don’t think that she really means it most of the time. I think that she would laugh and love this description of her if she read this paragraph.

The most important person to me is my mom. My mom is fun person because she is funny and cool. She is also very energetic and playful also she is very supportive when I was playing football last year she came to one of my practices also when we do talk and when I see her she is very supportive. My mom is important to me because she gave birth to me and its just that she’s my mom. My relationship with her is distant because I don’t really see her but I do talk to her sometimes and when I do it is always fun.

A Football symbolizes our house Boys 8. Everybody loves football in our house especially me. Football is my favorite sport and its Jose’s and Marvin’s favorite sport. To most people, this is just a violent sport which it is. To us, it represents a fun game in which you can hit people and not get in trouble. It is also a game that I love and that I enjoy very very much. Football is game that everyone can enjoy you don’t have to play football to enjoy it you just have to like it I guess. Our house is the best house ever.

Goals

An accomplishment that I had from last year was that my football team won the championship. I had to work hard all year and so did the rest of the team to accomplish that goal. I would like to have above a 3.00 and I would have to work hard to do that.

Winter Narrative




Over winter break I had a really fun time at my mentor’s house. My mentor is Ms. Tyler she is the vice principal of San Pasqual middle school. So for dinner I went to her house in Rancho Bernardo. I went to her house on Christmas eve. The dinner that we had was delicious we had tasty turkey mash potatoes , Mac and cheese, biscuits it was the Bomb! Ms.Tyler and her daughters husband cooked the food. I thought the food was very good and delicious. We also had a very good dessert it was some kind of really good pie i don't know what it was but it was very good. Then after we cleaned everything up. I got to open up my presents. That was the best part. So my first present was the new ipod touch witch was the best present and they also gave me an ipod case with it also they got my name engraved on the back of the ipod. Then i got a blanket that she made me that is very cool. She also gave me an 25 itunes card so i could put games,movies, and music. I thought that was really cool. Then after that she took me home and then the next day i got my presents i got the Steve Nash that i asked for i was really happy that i got that over all that was really good Christmas.
