“The Lady or the Tiger” Which Door?

“The Lady or the Tiger” Which Door?

In the story, “The Lady or the Tiger” by Frank T. Stockton, The man opens the door and sees the tiger. The princess chose this door because the princess said that she “Hated her”. The princess wouldn’t let her lover marry the woman she hates and is jealous of. Even the princess said that the tiger can just kill him and he can go wait for her in the “Blessed regions of sembaric futurity”. The man’s fate was decided by his lover who lead him to the door with the tiger witch quickly killed him.

"Dog Star" Chronological Order of Flashback Paragraph

"Dog Star" Chronological Order of Flashback Paragraph

The story “Dog Star” wouldn’t have been as effective if it had been told in strict chronological order. I think the story was really good when they did the flashbacks. The whole story just fell into place it wouldn’t have been as fun reading it in chronological order. For example, the narrator was on the moon and thinking of his dog when the earthquake happened. For example when he visited his friends in Berkley when lika barked and there was an earthquake. I don’t think stories in chronological order are fun or interesting to read.

"Thank You M'am" Before You Read: Going Gets Tough

"Thank You M'am" Before You Read: Going Gets Tough

There is some truth to the saying “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” For example in a football game when your down and you need to score some people make big plays in tough times. When your down a touchdown or two and it’s the finale minutes in the fourth quarter that’s when the going gets tough and the tough get going. Those who don’t get tough are the ones getting frustrated arguing with the refs cussing yelling at their team mates doing all the things the team doesn’t need.
